Artist's Statement
I believe in harmonizing color. When one color touches another, it sets up a tone in which I feel its subtle vibration. Out of these tones, patterns form - swirling color, and beings from another land.
I am transported with this sumptuous color. I translate the depth of what I feel, and allow the brush to compose new melodies; exploring places alive with life.
Always the spirit has a hand in what I do. It's empty without the spirit. After painting, and inspiration departs - I am left wondering and waiting when that wonderful "aliveness" will grace me again. It is indeed a jewel like the dawn. My job as an artist is to renew myself in the light, and somehow reflect this deep love in what I do, in what I paint, in who I am. When I do my job, others feel the energy and enter into another world with me.
